Challenge
Stryker Corporation is a global leader in the orthopedic device business, manufacturing leading-edge reconstructive, trauma, and spinal products. The medical device business has become highly complex with an ever-increasing array of products and services, and a growing number of industry competitors. This has been especially challenging for sales representatives who must have in depth of knowledge of their products, medical terminology and clinical applications. They must be able to communicate effectively with surgeons about their products.
Stryker wanted to develop a training solution to support their trauma sales representatives and enable them to utilize this knowledge in the field. Stryker chose Cramer for our extensive experience in the medical device, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries combined with our skill in developing learning solutions.
Cramer Learning Solutions created an award winning training CD. The CD features 3D animation that highlights product features of Stryker’s orthopedic surgical instruments. The training tool is easily navigable and gives comprehensive product descriptions, specifications, and procedural highlights.
Cramer and Stryker were selected as the winners in the category of Biotechnology/ Pharmaceuticals for the training CD at the 2002 MIMC (MITX) Awards. This annual award is the largest awards competition in the country recognizing excellence in interactive solutions.
