Senior Analyst, Marketing Analytics
Job Purpose / Mission
Senior Analysts are intuitive leaders responsible for in-depth analysis of web analytics and marketing campaigns. They are able to deconstruct the big picture into measurable items and to assess goal achievement. While performing risk and feasibility assessments, Senior Analysts are able to escalate to the team lead role when appropriate and to elaborate on the vision at the project, group, and department level.
Core Accountabilities / Responsibilities
- Support the Manager of Marketing Analytics with leading clients through the analytics process
- Develop measurement and implementation plans based upon client goals
- Develop reporting, high level analysis, and recommendations for clients’ website performance
- Develop, track, and analyze multivariate tests for site optimization
- Support the Strategy Department with analytics data and recommendations
- Manage and deliver timely ad hoc reports
- Collaborate with third party vendors for reporting purposes
- Work across capabilities to determine feasibility, work effort, time, and cost of analytics solutions

Has worked in a similar capacity in an agency environment, has excellent communication skills, and has emerging knowledge of the various technologies needed to achieve both internal and client goals.
Qualifications
- Experience with web analytics tools (Omniture, Google Analytics, Webtrends, Coremetrics, Unica, IndexTools, etc.). Omniture and Google Analytics are preferred
- Experience with SQL, database marketing, and CRM tools
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint fluency
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Ability to develop conclusions and recommendations from complex data sets
- Ability to multitask and to work well under pressure
2-3 years of experience with:
- Data analysis supported by web analytics tools
- Working in a direct marketing agency or consulting environment
1+ years experience with:
- SEM: Analyzing or managing paid search and SEO initiatives
- A/B or Multivariate testing
- Measurement and analysis of multichannel and integrated marketing campaigns
Experience with one or more of the following is a plus:
- SAS or SPSS
- Ad serving platforms (DoubleClick/DART, BlueStreak/Ion, Mediaplex/MOJO, Atlas)
- Competitor analytics tools (comScore, Hitwise, Nielson Net Ratings)
