Account Manager

The Account Manager (AM) is the liaison between the client and the delivery team.  The AM manages several overall client relationships through the ability to understand their clients’ marketing and business objectives.  The AM’s responsibilities are two-fold, and include business development and project management for our healthcare client accounts. Candidates ideally should have experience with clients in the healthcare/pharmaceutical industry.

Essential functions of the job:

  • Project Execution
    • Oversees development of the project plan, manages and oversees project
    • Understands business objectives of marketing programs
    • Assume ongoing project-related communication and presentations.
    • Accountable for program success and ensuring team members fulfill responsibilities
    • Responsible for the establishment and completion of client deliverables
    • Coordination of Tactical Execution Team
      • Facilitate communication between cross-functional teams
      • Provides project specific direction and guidance to team members to facilitate timely and quality results
      • Monitors quality of work performed by team members throughout the project lifecycle
      • Monitors all program execution to ensure team has the appropriate level of support to deliver on time and on budget

 

  • Financial Management and Budget Owner
    • Profitability
    • Manages approvals and scope change documentation with client, ensuring Account Director is involved in key changes

 

  • Client Relationship
    • Client key point of contact for project management
    • Engages client on a regular basis to evaluate initiatives and recalibration for success.
    • Proactively solicit feedback from client on team and relationship with Cramer
    • Maintains and grows strong mid-level client relationships by understanding their key marketing objectives

 

  • Business Development
    • Identifies growth opportunities for clients that support their business, brand and customer goals and collaborates with Account Director to further expand the client relationship
    • Maintain and expand existing relationships.  Sell to clients new project ideas that align with their business, customer and brand goals.
    • Ensure Account Director/ EVP, Sales is aware of any issues with client (i.e. missed deadlines, budgetary, etc.).  
    • Retention

  • Ability to manage large, complex projects, their dependencies, team members and other resources and timeline; and to prioritize and delegate accordingly
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to manage diverse group of individuals
  • Ability to understand departmental environments and competing priorities in conjunction with developing/meeting project goals
  • Ability to facilitate and work within a complex, multi-discipline environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills within all levels of the organization
  • Exhibits strong professional persona
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivery of high quality customer service
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • 5-7 years of experience in account management
